Many of our Year 6 students are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next week. They were all involved in a Confirmation Retreat Day yesterday and it was a prayerful, reflective and enjoyable day for all involved. As a parish and school community, we pray for all of these children as they make their final preparations to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. May the gifts of the Holy Spirit be truly present in their daily interactions and every facet of their lives.

This week we celebrate the 4th birthday of our Parish Corpus Christi. This celebration has become one of our favourite annual events with the whole school joining in the birthday celebrations. This year we celebrated a whole school Mass, focusing on the gifts we have as a people of God and how we complement one another to form a great community. After Mass we had a party featuring a piñata and donuts for all the children. Our celebration continues this week with a concert from celebrated musician Peter Kearney on Thursday.

The excitement is building!!
Plenty of thought is going into creative costumes!!
Many a hairbrush is being used as a makeshift microphone!
Don’t forget to mark the date in your diary:
Saturday 20 June, 7.30-10pm in Presentation Hall at the school
This is a free get-together for our school community, a fun event for the whole family to enjoy. BYO drinks and nibbles [and big hair, fluoro sox and Bon Jovi t shirts….]
There are some great prizes to be won, so come along and have a great night with us
Holy Family school community, again entered the Mother's Day Classic Walk on Mother's Day morning. We received $1000 prize money for entering the largest school based team. The team stood out in their bright green hats and the beautiful weather contributed to a wonderful morning. Thank you to all those people who entered the Mother's Day Classic and thank you to Donna Lambert for coordinating this wonderful community event. What a fantastic opportunity it was to raise money for breast cancer, grab a bit of exercise and catch up with friends all at the same time!

Some of our student participants receiving the prize for entering the largest school group.
Well Done Holy Family!
Have a look at the Term 2 Calendar
Many children have proudly shown their parents around their classrooms over the past couple of nights. The Learning Journeys are an excellent opportunity for the students to show Mum and Dad all their workbooks, the art hanging around the room and lead them through a detailed look at all they have been learning. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support their children in the Learning Journey!
